Blendtec blender jars have a fixed installed blade assembly. Our aftermarket blender jar has a blade assembly unit that can be removed. The jars are interchangeable between Blendtec - Vita Mix - Waring MX Series - JTC Omniblend - Klarstein - Optimum - Omega, etc... blenders, by using a different blade also manufactured and engineered by us. (Patent pending and Trademark protected).

For Blendtec - Jar Configuration
The Alterna aftermarket replacement container sits straight on all Blendtec Classic Series, Blendtec Total Blender, Blendtec HP3A, Blendtec Professional blenders without sound enclosure, Smoother without sound enclosure, Blendtec Designer 625 and all other Designer model blenders, the Blendtec EZ blender, and Tom Dickson's special mega blender. The Alterna better replacement jar replaces the Wildside Jar, the Fourside Jar, and the Twister Jar. Better blending, finer, smoother! To top blending quality off and make things really interested - common sense - duh - The Alterna replacement blades and knives are actually made with sharpened edges. Sharp is better. Have you seen your Samurai with a dull sword lately? Plus, now that the blades are exchangeable and interchangeable, guess what, this opens up the opportunities for different blade styles to be used, all on your already fantastic Blendtec blender.
The Blendtec containers have a problem because their blade assembly units are always installed fix. You cannot repair them, you cannot remove them ... that is, without at least destroying or damaging the blades, the gear, or the jar itself. In fact, the blade assembly during blending or washing or just sitting and let oxygen do the rest, the decay and destruction happens by itself. It is normal and can be expected. In areas, such as Australia, Germany, United Kingdom, Brazil, Argentine, or Mexico, etc... every non-USA market basically, Blendtec has a much smaller warranty offering. There you stand a chance having to replace your Blendtec container more often and spend more money too. A removable blade assembly is the best answer... that is if the Alterna jar didn't already blend better than the Wildside, the Fourside, and the Twister jar anyway. Plus it is always wisdom to have a spare jar for just in case.For Waring Vita-Mix Omni Blender Configuration
The Alterna aftermarket replacement jar sits in angle or diagonally by 45 degrees twisted / turned on Vita Mix, JTC Omni blenders, Waring MX1200XT, 1000, 1050, 1100, Waring 1300, and Waring 1500 without sound enclosure, aka all the Waring 3.5 hp MX series type blenders. The Waring jars are really not that extraordinary -they have a poor jar vortex design and their blades don't hold up very well - and so we have improved our design with a bottom jar base curvature, ideal for increasing vortex swirling action and therefore better blending. The Alterna aftermarket container for Waring blenders (the MX series of blenders - aka 3.5 hp blenders or Raptor), are much more cost effectively priced, just about half of what Waring sells theirs for. So our jar is better and it cost less. Plus you can get it with a tamper - great for stirring when you blend up tough purees
and butters or dough.Note on the pictures how the better Alterna after-market blender jar sits on Vita Mix (right) and on the Waring and JTC Omniblend blenders (left). This jar placement is primarily because of the unique patented design to have an interchangeable jar that fits on Blendtec blenders as well as also on Vita-Mix and Waring type blender bases. The blade has to be swapped out because the gear size (drive sockets) are larger than Blendtec, and Blendtec blender motors turn clockwise while Vita Mix, Omni, and Waring blenders turn counter clockwise. Therefore, the blade edges are also sharpened for the Blendtec configuration on the right side of the knife, and on the left blade side sharpened for the Vita Mix Omni Blender and Waring type configurations.
